Since being called to the Bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada (now Ontario) in 1999, Riali Johannesson has represented hundreds of clients throughout Ontario. She has successfully defended against the full range of charges under the Criminal Code of Canada -- from Breaches of the Peace to multiple-count Murders -- and offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. In her years in Toronto and the GTA, Riali handled many serious crimes of violence, including "Guns and Gangs" matters. In her practice in Parry Sound and Sundridge, she is particularly dedicated to the history and circumstances of her Indigenous clients, and has a strong commitment to healing and reconciliation through the criminal justice system.
